How did Deaf Globetrotters start?
Here is the story…
On my return from living abroad (Greece – 1975), a lady asked me to coordinate conference and post-conference tours. I visited a travel agency I frequently used and collaborated on tours to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Hawaii. The agency owner saw my ability to handle 17 buses to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm and 48 people to Hawaii, and he encouraged me to be a travel agent. Several years later, after many successful group tours, I started my agency. Then, at the time of my mother’s untimely death, I closed the business and moved to Hawaii. My wife had seen my love for travel and voluntarily helped others with their travel dreams, she suggested that I resume the business in 2006. It was 49 years in total in 2024.
